Francesco Giubasso
BIOGRAPHY
Francesco Giubasso is an Italian composer, musician, and sound artist active in the theatrical and
cinematic scene. Born in 1995 in Florence into a family of artists, he has been dedicated to the study of
music since childhood. He studied classical, acoustic, and electric guitar, as well as composition, ranging
from pop to classical music. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in classical guitar from the Fiesole School
of Music, he focused on composing music for images at the F. Venezze Conservatory in Rovigo, where he
graduated with honors, presenting a thesis on the relationship between music, sound design, and
choreographic arts.
Over the years, he has collaborated on numerous productions in the field of dance with Marga Nativo,
Angelo Egarese, Gabriella Secchi, Michele Scappa, Silvia Giordano, Florence Dance Festival, Company
Blu, and Kinesis CDC. Simultaneously, he has worked in the field of cinema both as a composer and as a
sound designer in films such as “Snot and Splash” (2023), “La Fabbrica dell’Italiano” (2021), “Quel posto
nel tempo” (2022), and “Autoritratto con arma” (2021).
In 2021, he received a special mention in the context of the European Talent Competition in Cologne,
Germany. His work combines sound design techniques with his personal compositional musical taste,
drawing inspiration from dance movement.
