Giulio Ghirardini
BIOGRAPHY
Giulio Ghirardini, born in 1995, began his musical studies at the age of ten, starting with Piano and then moving on to Drums.
After studying the rudiments with his father, Ermes Ghirardini, he continued his studies with maestro Luca Colussi.
He attended the Liceo Musicale “Caterina Percoto,” where he was introduced to Classical Percussion, which he would study for the next five years with Maestros Gabriele Rampogna, Annamaria Del Bianco and Alex Kuret. Once he finishes high school, the study of music continues at the “Francesco Venezze” Conservatory of Rovigo where he studies Drums and Percussion with Drummers Stefano Paolini and Ricky Roma. During the Triennium he began to publish his first works for his solo project, releasing various tracks on Spotify, YouTube and Soundcloud.
He collaborated with the “Nico Pepe” Theater Academy by creating the sound environments and music for the show “Odyssey Odyssee.”
At the end of the Triennium he decided to proceed his studies at the same Conservatory attending the course of Applied Music to Images, under the guidance of Maestros Marco Biscarini and Daniele Furlati. During this period he worked on the soundtrack for the feature film “Quel Posto nel Tempo” and the composition of the music for the show “Flatlandia,” as well as writing the music for short films and projects outside the course.
Having completed his studies, he has composed and produced the soundtracks for several short films, including “Petro.L” written and directed by Cabiria Lizzi, “Taxi Fish” directed by Sara Schiavone, “Hic Sunt Leones,” a docufilm directed by Maris Croatto, and “Evelin and the City of Suitcases” written and directed by Aurora Ovan.
He currently has three musical projects under his belt: Lunarize, an Indie-Electronic duo; the Laca Collective, a Funk-Dance band; and a solo electronic music project. Alongside his musical projects, he works as a Sound Composer for films and short films.
